Liberty “Libby” Bell is a twenty-five-year-old hermit of her own making, the sudden loss of her parents having driven her to isolate herself from the world in a place that reminds her of happier times, a place that also does not allow her to move forward in life or seek happiness. His current state seems more a choice than a situation. Because I doubt he’s actually homeless or without means. Homeless person? Vagrant? Nope, I’m going with bum. Maybe I should use a better term, something more PC.

This is one of my most enjoyable books of the year, and possibly my most beloved one from this remarkable author.

I will even admit that after turning the last page, I immediately went back to re-read some favourite passages, desperate to keep riding the ‘book high’ I found myself in, and hungry for more. I giggled, I swooned, I even fist-pumped the air a few times, because I never delight in such a story this much, yet I found myself relishing every single thing about this book. Everything. When it comes to romantic comedies, I am hard to please, rarely connecting with the humour, and finding the intensity of the sexual chemistry between the characters lacking more often than not, but this book was my complete and utter undoing beginning to end. Because, with Libby, everything has changed. I've got to find a way to coax the hermit from her shell and keep her with me. The world is clamoring for me to get back on stage, but I'm not willing to leave her. When I get my hands on her, she is scorching hot and more addictive than all the fans who've screamed my name.

She's grouchy, a recluse-and kind of cute. It all fell apart with one fateful decision. How do you keep an idol when everyone is intent on taking him away?Īs lead singer for the biggest rock band in the world, I lived a life of dreams. Problem is, the world thinks he's theirs. Sexy, charming, and just a little bit dirty, he's slowly wearing me down, making me crave more. With the face of a god and the arrogance to match, the pest won't leave. I found Killian drunk and sprawled out on my lawn like some lost prince.
